Daily Cleaning
• Dust the surface daily with a soft microfiber cloth to prevent abrasive grit from scratching the travertine.
• For light dirt, wipe with a damp (not wet) cloth and dry immediately with a clean towel to avoid water spots on the porous stone.
Stain & Damage Prevention
• Avoid acidic substances: Never use vinegar, lemon juice, or ammonia-based cleaners—they will etch and dull the travertine’s finish.
• Use coasters for all drinks (especially wine, coffee, and soda) and place heat-resistant mats under hot dishes to prevent thermal damage.
Annual Maintenance
• Seal the travertine once a year with a stone sealer designed for porous natural stone. This locks in the stone’s texture and repels stains effectively.
Special Stain Removal
• For oil-based stains (grease, lotion): Sprinkle baking soda on the stain, let sit for 15 minutes, then wipe with a damp cloth.
• For water stains: Blot with a dry cloth first, then use a mild stone cleaner (pH-neutral) and dry thoroughly.

We initially started designing just one room in our house, and I was deeply impressed with the quality, thoughtfulness, and clarity in which they executed my vision. After reviewing a bunch of different services to help design our home, I landed on George Furniture Home. They are wonderful! We are so pleased with the results. We chose to get our dining room/living room done as well as our bedroom. Our designer was able to pick up on our needs and always offered alternatives as needed. Everything was done through the portal, which was easy to use. I was curious about how it would work without actually seeing someone in person, but it really does! Our designer picked out pieces that we wouldn't have picked on our own and we are so happy to be in our new cozy home. Highly recommend it if you are looking for high end interior design needs.

If I could give 6 stars I would! We worked with George Furniture Home for the living room of the villa remodel. We were a little nervous about trying to work through the entire process online. We quickly learned those fears were unwarranted. Communication throughout the entire process was seamless and our designer was so patient with us. From picking the appropriate shopping items to fine-tuning the final renderings...it was an awesome experience. Every time my wife and I look at the 3D renderings we are just blown away...smiling from ear to ear. Our designer at George Furniture Home. She was absolutely fabulous to work with. A lot of hand-holding throughout the process, which was necessary for my wife and I. We have very little fashion sense. We'll definitely be using George Furniture Home again. Just purchased a new home & used George Furniture for almost every room in the house. The designers are awesome & the process is very easy & quick.
